Bringing North Florida Values Back to Tallahassee

Beshears applauds Supreme Court’s decision to Review Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint rivers case

The Apalachicola Bay and River system are critical to our economy and our unique environment throughout our region. Last years 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling has the potential to significantly alter the long term health and viability of the river and estuary system as well as cripple all of the business which makes their living on the bay.

As a long time resident of North Florida, I am hopeful the Supreme Court will make the prudent decision to hear the case and provide some direction and resolution to this issue which has impacted Florida’s economy and environment for far too long.

As a candidate for the House of Representatives, I can assure you that I will work with the Governor and the Commissioner of Agriculture to utilize technical expertise and legal actions necessary to protect the Apalachicola Bay and river system.
